About Padraic Dempsey

Originally from Kiltimagh, Co Mayo, Padraic has spent most of his banking life in Ulster Bank as a retail banker, a few years with ACC bank as a commercial Lender and finished his banking career as Regional Manager of Bank of Scotland Ireland. He resigned from BOSI in 2005 to join Independent Trustee Company (ITC) the largest self-administered pension company in Ireland, where he became fascinated by the financial structures that can be employed to help you keep more of your tax money.

He set up the ITC Galway office in 2006. Dempsey Financial Solutions was formed in 2009 to carry out front office activity of cash flow financial planning and help clients take control of their financial lives through self-administered pension investments.

Dempsey Financial Solutions is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

About Rory Dempsey

Rory began his professional journey in Galway’s medical device sector, graduating with a First Class Honours (1:1) Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from NUI Galway. He initially worked as an R&D engineer, where he developed a strong technical foundation and an ability to approach complex challenges with precision and creativity.

Driven by a growing passion for business and investment, Rory pivoted his career into finance, earning a Master’s degree in Finance from Trinity College Dublin, where he graduated with First Class Honours with Distinction. He then joined the Irish Strategic Investment Fund (NTMA), working across both the Venture Capital and Food & Agri teams. During this time, he gained extensive experience in deal flow, execution, and procurement, building a deep understanding of how capital is allocated and managed at scale.

Today, Rory draws on this unique combination of technical expertise and financial acumen in his role as a financial planner. He is recognised for his specialist knowledge in cash-flow planning, particularly through advanced tools such as Voyant, which he uses to help clients design, structure, and secure their long-term financial futures. His approach blends analytical rigour with a client-first mindset, ensuring each plan is both robust and tailored to individual goals.
